Little Lambs...

This session was one that made me thankful for a flexible mama.

If you are reading this post, you are most likely from the area, so you understand the whirlwind that is East Texas weather. If you are not from the greater ETX area, just know that we can literally have all four seasons in one day in this place!

Today was one of those days.

I had scheduled a mother-daughter session with a sweet mama, her 5 year old and her 8 month old this morning only to wake up and find that it was about 30 degrees and raining! (It was in the 70s and sunny the day before.) And, parents. Y'all knowww that wasn't gonna fly with two young kiddos!

Now, we had been planning on this session for about a month and they were so excited to get all prettified and have some fun, so when I got in touch to consider rescheduling the mom decided to clear their whole day in hopes of it warming up by late afternoon. And, to all of our excitement, it did!

We met out on some hill-country acreage and the girls all looked so lovely! The oldest of the two was a little shy at first, but she had a little stuffed lamb with her which seemed to be of comfort. So I snapped some shots with her holding it until she finally warmed up to me. The youngest was a bunch of smiles right from the start despite it still being a little chilly, but by the end of the session, the 5 year old was dancing and playing and helping with baby sister which allowed me to capture some super precious moments between them.

Mama did such a great job with their outfits from their handmade flower crowns to their painted teeny toes on their sweet bare feet! What could have been a cancelled session turned out to be a whimsical time! And that ETX weather even seemed to smile because it wrapped those dolls in the most gorgeous lighting a photographer could ask for!!

I am so thankful for clients who go with the flow, because it usually provides with the best memories for them and, therefore, the best candid moments for me to capture!

So many people find getting pictures done to be a chore, but my goal is to make it the greatest and most fun experience for everyone as possible and I'm so glad I was able to reach that goal with these girls!

Thank y'all for your continued support!

God bless!!

Xoxo - B.
