A Little Bit of Magic...

I have been blessed with a dear friend who has two of the world's cutest kiddos. She is always willing to let me borrow her babies for impromptu photo sessions when I'm wanting to practice a new technique or get a little creative.

Well, as Halloween is coming up (woo hoo for the holidays!), she text me saying she had made the kid's costumes - Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, omg - so we got together and did a little mini session.

There is a local pottery place that has set up an adorable pumpkin display so we headed out that way and I got to snapping some pictures.

Now, I really pride myself in doing my best to have a very consistent style in my photos so that clients know what to expect from me, but by the time we made it to our spot it was dusk and I had no sunlight to work with. So I decided, it's a magical time for these sweet tiny humans so why not just go with the flow and take this session to have a little creative fun?

It ended up being such a fun and adventurous time for the children that it made for some of my favorite photos of them (and I have taken a lot over their short little lives. haha.)

I took some creative liberties in my editing as well and I think the combination of the atmosphere, their costumes and the light of the session all just worked together and was very refreshing for me too.

I've been deeply focused on creating my brand, I sometimes forget that I'm allowed to use my photography to be creative too.

I'm so thankful for the opportunities I get to create moments and memories like this for such sweet families. Moments the babes may not remember, but can look back on with fondness knowing their parents were so involved in their lives and took the time to create happiness for them always.

Until next time, y'all, thank you for reading and your continued support in my dream!

God Bless.

Xoxo - B.
