Here Goes Nothin'...

So, I figured I'd have a go at this blogging thing to make it a little more fun for y'all to keep up with what goes on here at Sweet Tea Photography.

Hang with me though because this is a very new thing for me. I barely post about my daily life on my personal social media, but photography is what makes me feel alive so, if that's not worth talking about, I don't know what is.

I love what I do, y'all. I can't even being to tell you how excited I get on my way to each and every photo session. I get giddy thinking about the memories I get to capture for you guys and how what I do means something to you as well.

For instance, I was blessed enough to get to take photos for a sweet, sweet family who found me through a mutual friend.

Upon their arrival, the mother and her four girls looked absolutely adorable. When the dad came mozy-ing on up, his wife told me how he really wasn't in the mood for photos and how she had to beg him to come.

Despite his not wanting to be there, I ended up getting a few genuine smiles from him and, to this day, it was one of my favorite sessions.

They told me they had a wonderful time and couldn't wait to see their pictures.

I got the session edited and sent to them in a timely manner and even the dad was happy with them.

Unfortunately, merely weeks later, a tragic accident happened that took that father from his wife and precious girls.

It was heartbreaking.

My inbox began flooding with messages from his immediate and extended family, thanking me for capturing some of the last images they have of him.

It gave me such a new appreciation for what I do.

I allow people to hold on to a moment in time. They look at an image that is seemingly not special to an outsider, but they remember the 1/20 of a second in which it was taken.

So, as much as I love and enjoy what I do, I take it very seriously in that I was to create the very best images I possibly can for you and your loved ones. An image to remind you to appreciate what time you have together and to love on one another with all you have.

...

If you've made it this far, thank you so much for reading.

Thank you for your support in what I do and I hope to capture special moments for you too!

Until next time, y'all.

God Bless.

Xoxo - B.
